Christmas is always an exciting month here at Rocky Ridge Retirement Community. The tree is up, the halls are starting to look festive and staff and residents are busy designing and decorating their doors. Residents will be able to vote on their favorite resident and staff door!
We are hosting our annual Christmas Toy Drive with the Salvation Army. If you wish to participate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the front desk prior to December 18th. The toys will then be collected, sorted, wrapped and gifted for the ‘big day!’ This is a wonderful opportunity to give back and help those children that are less fortunate in our community.
We have lots of Christmas activities in December from Christmas crafts, a Calypso Steel Band, Christmas themed Bingo, Pyjamas party and more.
We will be hosting a Resident’s Christmas Ball Dinner Party at 5pm on Tuesday, December 12th. The Cappy Smart Big Band will entertain us afterwards.
The bus will be heading out on evening Christmas Light Tours. These are always fun and popular trips. Craig will show our residents all the decorated areas in our local community.
The Residents New Year’s Eve Gala will start with dinner at 5pm on Sunday, December 31st and will be followed by a celebration dance.
